How does it work?
Simply contact us either by email (sales@maine-trading.co.uk) to arrange a collection, or simply arrange to send to/ or drop of your items at our Oldham Drop off Centre. As soon as we receive your items, we will separate and photograph each item. We will then accurately describe and list each of your items for sale on our eBay Store-front and will price your items at the market rate, following the initial research that we do for each item. Alternatively, if you have specific or minimum prices for all or certain items, simply provide us with an inventory of these items along with your pre-defined prices and we will ensure to offer your items on our eBay Storefront using your guide prices. Each time we sell an item, we add sales value of the item to your Trading Assistant account and each month we send you a payment for all of your sale proceeds (minus our fee) and a breakdown of every item we have sold for you.

What are your fees?
We charge a percentage from each sale of 35% and any associated eBay and Paypal fees are included in this fee. Postage/shipping costs are charged to the buyer directly. We also do not charge an eBay insertion Fee so you get to keep more of your money. so for example for every £100 we sell for you, you receive £63.78 (please see our Fees and charges for more info)

Are there any upfront costs?
No, there is nothing to pay until we sell your items, and you'll never owe us any money. If we collect your items (see can you collect my items below) we will assume any associated collection costs upfront meaning that we will assume all risks associated with successfully selling your items. Should we be unable to successfully sell your items, we will assume all responsibility for all collection costs and you will not be liable for any costs in such cases.

Do you cover my area?
Yes, we currently provide our eBay Trading Assistant services to the entire United Kingdom

What items do you accept?
We will accept any genuine item, regardless of size and/or weight. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept/sell any stolen, fake or counterfeit items and any such items supplied to us may be reported to our local police enforcement and/or trading standards authority. Our team actively ensures that all items received and advertised for sale on our eBay Store front are 100% genuine and any fraudulent items will be rejected or destroyed.

Can you collect my items?
Yes, we can arrange for a courier to collect your items directly from your chosen premises on a pre-arranged date which is suitable for you. Alternatively, should it be more convenient for you we can arrange a collection from your local courier collection centre allowing you to conveniently take and drop off your items at your nearest Collection point. With over 5000 Collection points available around the UK, we can almost guarantee you'll have one near you. If you live in Greater Manchester, we can even arrange for our own delivery drivers to collect your items from you. Please contact us via our contact form to arrange a collection.

How much do you charge for a collection?
Collections arranged via courier are charged at £8.27 per box with no upfront cost to pay. If we collect your items we will assume any associated collection costs upfront meaning that we will assume all risks associated with successfully selling your items. Should we be unable to successfully sell your items, we will assume all  responsibility for all collection costs and you will not be liable for any costs in such cases. If you live in Greater Manchester, we can arrange for our own delivery drivers to collect your items from you, in which case you would need to pay the collection driver directly. The cost of this is calculated at a "per-mile-rate" on a "two-way" basis with a minimum collection charge (for up to 10 Miles) being £20.00. For example, if you live in Greater Manchester and your collection postcode is "10 Miles" from our postcode (OL8 2NJ), you would be required to pay a £20.00 collection fee to our driver directly.

Do you charge any commission on your collection fees?
No, our collection fees are calculated at the exact rate for which we pay to our couriers for the cost of securely collecting your items. If you live in Greater Manchester and we arrange for our own delivery drivers to collect your items from you, you pay the calculated "per-mile" collection fee directly to the driver as they are independent to our company.

Do I need to box my items?
Yes, collections arranged via courier require for your items to be boxed. If you live in Greater Manchester, we can arrange for our own delivery drivers to collect your items from you, in which case you do not need to pre-box your items but please ensure they are in suitable containers. Please contact us using our contact form to arrange a collection.

Are there size/weight restrictions per box?
Yes, collections arranged via courier have a maximum weight restriction of 10KG Per Box. There is no maximum limit on the number of boxes that our couriers can collect however each box must be no longer than 60cm at it's longest side. If you live in Greater Manchester, we can arrange for our own delivery drivers to collect your items from you, in which case you do not need to pre-box your items and there are no size/weight restrictions.

Can I send my items to you?
Yes, simply arrange to forward your items to us at; Maine Trading, 36 Beechwood Road, Oldham, Lancashire, OL8 2NJ

Do you have a drop off centre?
Yes, our warehouse is located in Oldham.

How will I know what you've sold & when will I get paid?
We typically arrange payment via your preferred reimbursement method (as stated on your Contract Form) on or around the 7th of each Month and provide a full breakdown of everything that has sold by supplying a copy of your reimbursement invoice by email.

How long does it take to sell an item?
It can vary widely from a few days to a few months to even longer, depending on what you are selling.

How will I get paid?
Our Clients can choose to be paid via BACS (Instant Bank Transfer), PayPal (Instant Payment).
